Welcome to York Modelmaking

Here at York Modelmaking we take great pride in the quality of our work and the bespoke service we are able to offer all of our customers and fellow railway modellers. We hope you find our website an inspiration and go on to enjoy using our products.

All of our laser-cut detailing accessories and kits are made in our workshop here in the railway City of York. Making everything in house means we are able to alter the designs, sizes and materials to meet your exact needs. We also offer a  bespoke service; whether you require us to design and cut a single door or you are supplying us with computer files ready cut laser-cut a full building kit, please get in touch for a quote.  We are sorry, that due to changes in family circumstances, we can not currently offer a full design and model-making service for larger projects .

As well as catering for all your scratch-building requirements, our architectural parts are great for up-grading off-the-shelf card and resin kits, to add realistic detail. Precision laser-cutting produces perfect results with realistic depth, intricate detail and longevity.

We love seeing the models our customers from all round the world create using our architectural components and scenery detailing kits. If you have photographs or modelling tips to share, please do pass them on to us.
